I got an email a while back from uf about the online aleks placement test for math courses, and was wondering what would prevent someone from cheating to achieve a higher score I feel that this could potentially be an unfair way to assess a student’s math skills if there is no way to prevent it. Aleks has 3 ace approved stats courses (intro to stats, business stats, & stats for behavioral sciences.) they're pretty much the same course, some of the questions are worded differently (the business courses use business examples in the word problems and so on.) the transcript will come from ace, so if you school will accept ace credit courses, you should be good, i'd check with them first.
