Out of all the current and potentially forthcoming garmin models, i think i might be happiest with the fenix 8, but am interested in hearing opinions from more knowledgeable or experienced garmin fans. If garmin is smart they simply rebrand the epix 3 as the fenix 8 amoled and also keep the mip option as standard and premium as well, like they did with the tactix amoled. I have had the garmin 3x 5x and 6x and just went and got the epix in 47mm The 51 looks attractive with its big screen and all however most times i just always found my watches to bug or uncomfortable.
For garmin you need a separate accessory for this I currently have a fenix 5 and may jump ship to apple watch because the optical (hr) sensor is unreliable during activities (i use a chest strap) and the gps is inadequate unless i’m in an open field.
