Ok folks, this is a new one for me Looking @ several vendor locations, i see that suspension sets are a bit more limited with this solid beam axle that i'm used to. Rear brake pads that only last 30k miles or less????
When i was switching snow tires to my son's '24 jetta last week (that he has owned since new in oct '23), i noticed the pads were almost an 1/8 above wear limit on passenger side (forgot to look at driver side, did that one first) It was lowered by the po and the ride is harsh with what seems to be too little dampening in the rear The rotor was nice and smooth with just a very slight lip on edge
I have done a lot of research but am still trying to get more information
I have a check engine with a glow plug warning light that is on now and i got the car scanned and i got the p0544 sensor 1 for exhaust temp bank 1 g235 code twice and from what i've seen so far it. The idle also will return to stock if ~12 minutes has been reached, regardless of coolant temperature If the car starts up with the coolant temperature already at 60c+ (140f+), the idle rpm will immediately be stock This is the optimal rpm.
Sometimes called fred's tdipage with info on upgrades, performance, fuel mileage, and maintenance I recently bought a 2000 jetta with the cel on, the owner thought the culprit was the maf which he had just recently replaced Hi all, drive a 2004 jetta pd, i had been hearing a whistling sort of noise coming from near back bottom of the engine, almost near the exhaust pipe, and today check engine light came on, code p0299. Every thread on here with that code, the advice is go to the dealer and fix it under warranty. i could not find any advice on how to fix it yourself
