Broken or warped manifolds aren't a new problem,lol 2018 pw with 10k miles. My dad used to braze up fe ford manifolds alot back in the 60's/70's as they were famous for cracking on 352 and 390 fords.

As you can see in the pics one of the ports on the end is flat and the other end of one manifold has an 1/8 gap showing light and the other had a 3/16 gap

Most of the water pumps these days have plastic impellers that can easily break apart.
