Run the conversion tool from requirement 4 to convert the.sav files to.json open the oldlevel.sav.json file created (it will probably be very large, but notepad++ worked for me) and search for the first 8 chars from step 5 if it doesn't find those characters, try again with an even older backup (if you don't have one, you're probably sol) I've seen that renaming.save files to.sav files will convert them, but then how do i load them onto the emulator?

My server refused to update the server settings file I followed others advise deleting the worldoption.sav file and it did swap to using the palworldsettings.ini but then again refused to change settings The way i fixed it was creating a new world and putting the settings i wanted and then went through the world file and took the worldoption.sav and replaced the one on my dedicated server. Is it possible to edit.sav files
