Hi everyone, i just bought a samsung smart monitor m8 (model ls32bm801ucxxk) and i’m having issues with the slimfit camera There are a few things you can do to solve this issue, like checking your connections, adjusting the volume, performing a sound test, or playing sound using a device other than your monitor. The camera works with the smartthings app (i can see the feed when the monitor is off), but it doesn’t show up in “connected devices → sources” or in apps like google meet.
Both are newer devices on the latest version of windows. If that still doesn't work, contact them directly for more support. The mac needs to be connected to the type c port next to the hdmi port in order to see the camera
The far type c is for mouse/keyboard.
Only issue at the moment is that i can't seem to get the slim fit cam to be recognised by the monitor, despite the fact it shipped in the same box I'm hoping that somebody will be able to tell me i'm just doing something wrong. It's likely not a product defect but instead is likely a software setting issue I went to setup the slimfit webcam and realized that this version has a small magnetic dongle that attaches the cam to the back of the monitor to give it power…
