This stopped vs code from accepting the ctrl + r shortcut, because it was waiting for the second part of a chord It supports debugging r code or an r project by launching a new r process or attaching to a running one The authors of the extension (from microsoft) recognized in hindsight, that this was a mistake and recommend in their readme to remap the shortcut for these commands.
For me, the key binding alt+z (toggle word wrap) wasn't working within vscode on windows 11
The computer i'm using has an amd graphics chip, and there's an amd software app that, by default, allocates multiple keyboard shortcuts at the system level, including alt+z. Additionally, these commands work perfectly fine on my other laptop, which is also a macbook pro with apple silicon, and i use vscode settings sync, so i'm not sure what the difference is! Basically you have disabled all the two separate keypress actions, i.e I personally do not use shortcuts since most of the work i do it in the editor or terminal, so i only use the toggle terminal and the ctrl + p command utility of vscode
