At&t has started a cruise package so you can use your phone while cruising without incurring all the roaming fees, etc Since this is a short cruise seattle/sitka/ victoria/se. I was just pricing it, and it is cheaper than the social media package on carnival
Has anyone used the at&t package yet Will be on quantum of the seas rccl cruise in may thinking of using the at&t cruise package plan to make wireless calls while on the ship How did it work for you?
At&t has three cruise ship plans that can be used on eligible ships and in eligible ports
1) a calling and texting plan $50 for 30 days gives you 50 minutes talk time and unlimited send texts, 2) a calling, data and texting plan $100 for 30 days gives you 200mb data, unlimited talk and unlimited send text, and 3) a $3.00 per minute plan. After talking to an at&t rep over chat, it sounds like the at&t package is only good for talk and text at sea, but if i want to go to cnn and read an article, or check the weather, i have to use carnival's plan
After reading some articles here, assuming it's on a covered island, i can get unlimited talk and. Starting in april 2025, at&t revamped its international land and cruise packages I never used the at&t cruise package before because i was concerned about the data overages That is now gone (although they slow you to a crawl after 500mb)
I have an android phone and carnival blocks wifi.
At&t considers usvi as stateside so calls don't roam to bvi towers except maybe on the far east end of st john I always turn off roaming on my phones so it can't use other towers. I am once again weighing the options of going with the at&t cruise internet package versus adding extra ncl internet minutes We will be on the october 6 sailing of the prima and have several ports but i still like to be safe on board
Last time we had both and ended up using. With at&t international day pass, you can talk, text and use your plan data in over 210 destinations for $10 per day The at&t plan is all you need On the at&t page it indicates there is the normal charge for incoming text, pictures, and video
Do you know does this mean if i get a text, i am charged at the cellular at sea rate or my normal rate (that is at no additional charge for me)?
I found out you don't need to set your phone to 'airplane mode
