I intended to take a bunch of pictures and make sure i document my experience installing the sniper on my scrambler I appears that cj owners either move the front shackle hanger forward about an inch to compensate or purchase a shackle hanger that moves that point forward I probably did not get enough pictures or take enough botes, but here goes
To start off, i replaced a holley 4bbl carb mounted on an offenhauser intake What do i need to look forward. Is it more carb than.
Just bought a 1983 scrambler and doing some restoration to it
I want to get 35's on it but need to add a lift kit I have been told that skyjacker has the best ride but also should look at old man emu Need some experienced scramblers with some advice on these lift kits with the softest ride. I'm trying to put together a list with photos of all the available tops that were available for the 8, 1/2 cab and full top
Please add any information you may have and let me know if the info i have posted is wrong #1 factory half top #2 soft half cab (db top) #3 half cab soft top. Ok, last week had a rough night and ended up blowing the fusible link that comes off the solenoid Went back the next morning and fixed that, and when jeep fired up i noticed my fuel lines were cracked coming off the filter (stock 1 inlet, 2 outlet)
Had alcan 4 on a cj 5 loved them rode way better than the scrambler
As for sway bars i had disconnects on both The scrambler i unhooked and rehooked a couple of times unhooked and removed the sway bar The cj 5 unhooked and rehooked a couple of times, hooked them up and never unhooked again as long as i owned it. From what i've seen, no soft doors will mate up to your hardtop
The yj soft uppers are square on the rear corner and the bestop are round but are bigger than steel doors as they overlay the soft top Yj hard doors will fit a cj perfectly They are dimensionally exactly the same. Is the body off the frame on either one of those
Can you check dimension n k and j for me too?
My lower steering shaft column bearing went out and i need to replace it Has anyone done this repair yet and how hard is it
