Hi all having issues with boots opticians, i went there last month for a routine eye test. Would you recommend specsavers or staying with boots Hi all until fairly recently, i was a member of the boots contact lens reward scheme.
Two other opticians whom i subsequently consulted were of a different opinion and definitely did not advise scrapping 3 perfectly good frames Have been considering moving to specsavers, but not sure what to do as i like boots, never had a problem with them and i like the benefit of a boots card Their charges were a fraction of £160.00 boots charged
A rip off boots opticians
No use contacting boots customer service, not interested as boots plc have sold the franchise of their opticians business. The two other opticians in my town are boots and specsavers Boots wanted £205.00 for the same glasses whilst specsavers wanted £165.00 for the same thing Now whilst at first glance the specsavers glasses look a bargain i have not used them before and the thought (rightly or wrongly) cheap and nasty springs to mind.
I needed new glasses urgently, and went to my nearest boots opticians because my usual place had a waiting list They did all the usual checks. 7 forumite 19 december 2024 at 11:54pm in consumer rights If boots had completed the normal sight test and then said that they thought the additional scan was indicated, i'd have given it serious consideration
Also, i've used other opticians before (a small private practice and a chain) and neither felt it necessary to suggest i have an annual sight test.
My optician (boots) wrote to my local hospital who sent me an appointment It was quite a quick process as it is a referral by a professional who felt there was a problem needing investigation.
